Morgan Cogley is a visual artist, choreographer, and dancer based in Brooklyn, NY. She began her choreographic career in Minneapolis, MN, where she graduated from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities with a Dance B.A. and Psychology B.S. During her time in Minneapolis, she performed with companies such as Crash Dance Productions, TU Dance, Corpus Dance Works, Honeyworks & Hatch Dance. Since moving to Brooklyn, NY, she has had the opportunity to show her work in a variety of performance spaces. In her process, Morgan seeks to elucidate the complexity of disorder; its relationship to human nature. Her movement, described as gesturally complex and emotionally intimate, is borne out of desire to recreate imagery imagined when overcome by fantastical interpretations of one's own reality.
